Our Six Pillars of Sustainable Development
Pillar 3: Health and Medical
Why it matters
Healthcare in developing countries is in a state of crisis. People of all ages are sick and suffering from preventable illnesses. Babies and mothers are dying because of insufficient training in neo-natal care.
Our priority is to build the capacity of local medical infrastructure by: 1) Sponsoring, training, and mentoring local nurses and doctors; 2) Building and equipping clinics and hospitals when necessary; and 3) Providing affordable medication to people who need it.
Our chief medical officer, Dr. Neal Stretch, leads the strategy and oversight of all our medical projects. Full bio.
