Lydia Vocational Training Centre Music Classes Program
Since the beginning of time, music has been embedded in life and crosses all borders of nationality and race. It seeps into arts and culture, finds expression in language, and greatly impacts our lives. Scripture tells us that music fills the courts of Heaven. Since the devastating earthquakes in Nepal, the mood has been tense and many are fearful. Music can help reduce fear and anxiety in the hearts of people and give them a sense of normalcy in the midst of trying circumstances.
The total cost of the project is $9,500 per year.
(includes instructor’s salary for a year, guitar, tambourine, keyboard, madal, sarangi, stand, and music books).
Your Gift Makes a Big Difference!
- Your gift will help train women in voice and musical instruments such as the madal, the sarangi, the harmonium, the tambourine, the keyboard, and the guitar.
Many churches don’t have a choir or music group. It is our hope that we will enable our students to ll these gaps and also provide music for women’s fellowship groups and conferences. At present, there are very few women who play musical instruments in the churches because they lack the training.
- You can be an encouragement to the women of Nepal by supporting this initiative to teach them the art of making music.
“Music inspires me and I loved learning to play the guitar, the madal, and the tambourine. I had the privilege of playing music in my congregation to glorify His Name and I look forward to teaching other women how to play these same instruments.”
